The owners of this cozy café show their local colors on the menu: items cost $5.00 (as in Hawai‘i 5-0) or $8.08 (our area code). That’s right: you can sink your teeth into a noble Benedict or steak and eggs for less than ten bucks. The fluffy taro pancakes may come from a mix, but the sweet, creamy macadamia-vanilla sauce drizzled on top is good enough to lick the plate. Get free-range eggs for a little extra.
