Pull up a seat at this new, pocket-sized restaurant for a moderately priced, intimate dinner in Kihei. Chef/owner Eric Arbogast, a veteran of several popular Maui kitchens, brought the best recipes from each under one roof. His menu mingles Latin and Pacific Rim flavors with surprisingly cohesive results. The spicy ‘ahi nachos scooped a blue ribbon at “Taste of Lahaina,” and will likely continue collecting fans. Roast pork empanadas marry South of the Border spice and smoky local flavor. For just $27, you can choose your favorite local fish, then pick one of four preparations, such as “Mauiteranian”—a simple basil beurre blanc topped with tomato-caper relish and balsamic syrup. For now, it’s BYOB.
