When you live on Maui, doing so-called “touristy stuff” is often reserved for when you’re playing tour guide for out-of-town guests. I get it—the grind of daily life can leave little time for outings and costs of these activities can add up.
But here’s the good news: Maui Nō Ka ʻOi Magazine and Piʻiholo Ranch Adventures have teamed up to offer local residents a day of outdoor fun at a REALLY great price! I’ve already told my friends and family about this deal, so I thought I’d let you in on it, too. Here are the details:
KAMAʻĀINA DAY
WHAT? All-day zipline access on the redesigned canopy course, music, local food vendors and prize giveaways throughout the day
WHERE? Piʻiholo Ranch Adventures
WHEN? Saturday, September 6; 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
COST? $50 for ages 18+; $25 for keiki ages 8 to 17 (Also bring six cans of food per person, to benefit the Maui Food Bank.)
Fifty bucks and canned goods for ziplining (plus all the extras!) is a seriously amazing deal. On any other day, the canopy six-line tour (which takes about three hours) costs $135. My suggestion: Claim this deal asap. Reservations are required, and space is limited. And don’t forget to bring your Hawaii State I.D.
Call 808-572-1717 or 800-374-7050 to snag your spot.
- Two tickets to Kamaʻāina Day
- A one-night stay at a south Maui resort
- A one-year subscription to Maui Nō Ka ʻOi Magazine
- Piiholo Ranch Zipline prize pack
There are thrills for the kiddos, too! The Keiki Zone will feature a water slide, jumping castle, games, activities, and snacks. Funds from all Keiki Zone activities will benefit Maui Girls Soccer. One caveat: keiki must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
I haven’t been on a zipline in years, so I’m pretty excited to get back in the air. I’ll be there, doing my best monkey impersonation, gliding between the canopies. Who’s with me?!
