KE KANI HONE O WAILEA – AMY HĀNAIALI’I

February 24 @ 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Amy Hānaiali’i is a cultural entertainer of Hawaiian, Ojibwe Indian, Norwegian, European descent, and an Ambassador of Hawaiian music by the Governor of Hawai’i. Her success as a recording artist speaks for itself and is evidenced by a multitude of awards and acknowledgments, including six Grammy nominations for Best Hawaiian Music Album & Best Native Roots Music Album, and 18 Nā Hōkū Hanohano awards – Hawai’i’s equivalent to the Grammy Awards. Hanaiali’i’s talent emerges from disciplined classical training, fused powerhouse vocals, and honoring her family’s worldly heritage and rooted ancestral responsibility.

Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Pālehua with Amy in 2023!

Pālehua, a beautiful mountain on O’ahu, inspired creative magic when Amy Hānaiali’i and the late Uncle Willie K united there 25 years ago to compose some of Hawai’i’s most beloved songs. Amy and Willie wrote the song Pālehua in tribute to this magical place and it became an instant classic. Pālehua is now one of Hawai’i’s most famous songs, and one of the world’s most danced-to songs among hula Hālau across the globe.
