(Pardon the dust, Everyday Maui is moving! That’s right, the blog has a new home. So do I.)
In October 2013, after seven years as a reporter and editor at The Maui News (the island’s only daily paper), I traded newsprint for the glossy pages of Maui No Ka ʻOi. As managing editor, my days now consist of hunting down story ideas, assisting writers and keeping the senior editor sane. I also write a few feature stories here and there. In short, my job is to experience the best of Maui and share it with our readers (tough, I know).
In addition, Maui No Ka ʻOi has picked up my personal blog, formerly at EverydayMaui.com. Starting now, that blog will live at www.mauimagazine.net/everydaymaui. The magazine celebrates the people and places, customs and cultures, issues and events that make Maui “no ka ‘oi,” Hawaiian for “the best.” I like to think Everyday Maui does the same. It’s a perfect match!
