Ahi Poke Recipe from: Chef Sheldon Simeon
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds sashimi-grade ‘ahi, diced into ½-inch cubes
- Hawaiian sea salt, to taste
- 1 Hawaiian chili pepper, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons limu lipoa, chopped
- ¼ pound inamona (roasted kukui nut), optional
- 1 pound green onion, chopped
- 1 Maui onion, diced small
Method: Place ʻahi cubes in a mixing bowl. Season with sea salt. Add next four ingredients and mix gently. Fold in green onion and Maui onion. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
