| Description |
Sway on over to this uniquely Hawaiian exhibit, where more than 50 local artists will create new works around the theme of hula. Media include oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, wood, ceramic and more. Kumu hula Gordean Bailey and her Halau Wehiwehi O Leilehua will open the exhibit with a blessing, followed by dances highlighting ancient and contemporary hula styles. The opening ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. on Feb. 16 at the gallery. Hawaiian Tea Time will begin at 3 p.m. on March 9 and feature a Hawaiian fashion show and treats. There is limited space for this event; call 572-5979 for reservations. |
